CNA (Full Time and Part Time, 1st and 2nd Shift, includes every other weekend)

Overview:

To perform direct care duties under the supervision of professional, licensed nursing personnel.  Assist in maintaining a positive physical, social and psychological environment for the residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily bath, dressing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions
  • Measure and record temperature, pulse and respirations, weight and measure residents
  • Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures
  • Observe and report presence of skin breakdowns
  • Review care plans daily
  • Report changes in resident conditions to supervisor
  • Ability to communicate with residents and to remain calm under stress
Qualifications:
  • Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing and meet all applicable federal and state certification requirements or in training to satisfactorily complete the requirements to become a Certified Nurse Assistant
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Completion of elementary education or otherwise show ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions
  • Must speak and understand English
  • Previous experience or completion of appropriate training program
  • Positive attitude toward the elderly
